The Open Ocean Trustees will be hosting the first of four interconnected projects about the restoration underway for the Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Communities projects during a webinar April 11. The four interconnected projects were approved in the second Open Ocean restoration plan to advance its ability to manage, protect and restore these Gulf of Mexico ecosystems injured by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The first set of at-sea expeditions are complete. The webinar, which runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT, is open to public. There will be updates about the outcomes of planning and restoration activities to date, as well as planned activities for 2023. There will be a Q&A session. Register for the webinar here.
