KILN, MISS - The Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission (HCPHC) announced that April 24 that Pascagoula native Geoff Clemens has been named Deputy Director. Clemens' experience in Hancock County the last 20 years, and knowledge of the infrastructure at Port Bienville, Stennis Space Center and Stennis International Airport, "will only assist HCPHC as we move forward with an aggressive capital improvement plan and period of growth over the next decade,” said Blaine LaFontaine, CEO of HCPHC. The Stennis airport and Port Bienville Industrial Park is home to 30 companies with more than 1,000 employees. Clemens will work with finance, operations and project management teams as part of the critical port/airport operations. Clemens had served as president or CEO of Compton Engineering for 14 years. He earned an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University.
