NAS Meridian (Miss.) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Jung Tai was honored as the Distance Student Volunteer of the Year by Mississippi State University on April 18 at the Student Leadership and Community Engagement awards ceremony in Starkville. HM3 Tai is a member of the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit at NASM. The program honors and celebrates accomplishments of students, faculty and staff of MSU. The Distance Student Volunteer of the Year award requires at least 100 volunteer hours completed within the academic year and good academic standing. Tai also received the Individual Excellence Award for completing more than 100 hours of volunteer service while a student on campus. Tai is completing her Master's of Business Administration Degree at MSU. (NASM's Skyline 04/27/23)
