NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from a bulk carrier vessel April 21 about 12 miles south of Dauphin Island, Ala. Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at 11:20 a.m. from the bulk carrier Omiros L about a 53-year-old male crewmember experiencing heart attack-like symptoms. The CG launched a New Orleans-based MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew that hoisted the crewmember and transported him to emergency medical services personnel at Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile. He was later transferred to USA Medical Center in Mobile where he was last reported in stable condition. (Coast Guard 04/21/23)
