A new small business innovation research (SBIR) opportunity will open Feb. 8 when the Air Force taps small businesses to develop prototype reliable Command and Control (C2) capabilities for emerging, autonomous platforms designed to complete tasks independently or with minimal supervision from human operators. The work will have to be conducted in accordance with DoD's legal and policy requirements and its recently updated guidance governing the application of autonomous systems.
