Coastal Mississippi's tourism organization hired Judy Young to be its new executive director effective Feb. 1. The hire was announced Jan. 20 nearly three months after former director Milton Segarra resigned after clashing with the CM's board and Harrison County supervisors. In an interview with the Sun Herald, Young said she and husband, Les Young, already have a list of things they want to do, see and places to visit in the discovery of coastal Mississippi's three counties. She was raised New Braunfels, Texas, and has worked in tourism promotion and development for the Texas Chamber of Commerce. She comes to Mississippi from serving as VP of the convention and visitors bureau in the town founded by German settlers in 1845. Her husband’s family has lived in the Tupelo area for generations, she said. (Source: Sun Herald 01/20/22) https://www.sunherald.com/news/business/article257541813.html#storylink=cpy
