Ingalls Shipbuilding has opened its first hiring center on the Gulf Coast at the Edgewater Mall in Harrison County. On Jan. 7, from noon to 5 p.m., it will hold its first hiring event at the mall. With over 3,000 positions available for trade workers with no experience, Ingalls Shipbuilding will open the hiring center daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The largest manufacturing employer in the state, Ingalls is making employment processes easier for those looking for work, Ingalls VP of Human Resources and Administration Edmond Hughes said. “Key to individuals is having a desire to learn and be willing to work" Ingalls is located in Jackson County.
