NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) board of directors announced May 8 that Louis David has been named interim president and CEO. David has been at NOLABA for eight years and was recently VP of industry attraction and retention. Over the past two years, he led the economic development support and played a key role in the launch of Propel Park at NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility and helped create/launch the Xbox Studios Game Camp experience in The Big Easy. David has expanded NOLABA’s footprint across the nation. He will assume the role immediately, while the NOLABA board engages a national search firm to identify a permanent CEO. Background: NOLABA is a public-private partnership and official economic development organization for the City of New Orleans. It is one of the few accredited economic development organizations worldwide. NOLABA was formed in 2010 through a coalition of business and civic leaders to employ best practices in economic development to put New Orleans as an ideal intersection of commerce and culture. NOLABA is the only economic development organization focused solely on growing the New Orleans economy.
