Illinois, Ohio, Nebraska and Kansas rounded out the Top 5 states.
Mississippi came in at #6 (Median price $119,000). Income -to-Mortgage ratio (11.31%).
#11 - Alabama ($142,700). Income -to-Mortgage ratio (12.2%) and #26- Louisiana ($163,100). Income -to-Mortgage ratio (14.37%).
The most expensive state to buy a house is Hawai'i (median price $615,300). Income -to-Mortgage ratio (35.15%)
