New dean of Tulane biz school

Paulo Goes has been named dean of Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business effective Aug. 23. Goes succeeds Ira Solomon, who had served 10 years as dean. Goes comes to New Orleans from being dean of the Halle Chair in Leadership at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. Goes is a native of Brazil having earning a bachelor’s and master’s from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He began a career in civil engineering before immigrating to the U.S. and earning a master’s in operations research and a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Rochester. (Source: NOLA.com 09/11/21)
