MOBILE, Ala. - Capt. Christopher Huser, commander of Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile (Ala.), signed a letter of agreement (LoA) with the Navy on June 29 for use of a training field at Naval Air Station Whiting Field (Fla.'s) outlying field at Silverhill, Ala., in Baldwin County. The LoA, signed also by Capt. Paul Flores, NASWF commanding officer, will establish the first Coast Guard Outlying Landing Field to be used for daytime rotary-wing operations for aviation student training flights. This partnership allows CG aviators to exclusively train in a non-congested airspace at OLF Silverhill. OLF Silverhill has been one of NASWF''s 13 OLFs across the two states.
