TUPELO, Miss. - National Park Service acting Regional Director Pedro Ramos announced last week that 30-year NPS veteran Douglas “Doug” Neighbor has been appointed superintendent of Natchez Trace Parkway starting Aug. 15. Neighbor will also oversee the Brices Cross Roads National Battlefield Site and Tupelo National Battlefield. The 444-mile parkway stretches from Natchez to Nashville. Since 2014, Neighbor has been superintendent of Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico, (Source: WTVA 07/02/21)
