PASCAGOULA, Miss. - Huntington Ingalls Industries' shipbuilding division will sponsor free admissions to both the Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, located in Jackson, in recognition of Juneteenth. Signed into law last June, Juneteenth is a federal holiday to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the U.S. after the Civil War, on June 19, 1865. Ingalls is sponsoring free admission on June 17-18. Juneteenth themed tours will be held in the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on June 18-19.
