Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) said Oct. 23 that leaders had reached an agreement paving the way for floor consideration of its 3-bill spending “minibus.”
With it in place, the Senate can start floor consideration (as early as Oct. 25) of the package that combines FY 2024 VA Military Construction, Agriculture and HUS Transportation appropriation bills.
The House-passed VA Military Construction bill is being used as the legislative vehicle for the spending package.

Schumer said votes on amendments to the spending package could start as soon as Wednesday morning.
