GULFPORT, Miss. - Hancock Whitney Corporation (HWC) reported third-quarter net income of $97.7M on Oct. 16. The Gulfport-based bank said it had earnings of $1.12 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.02 per share.
The holding company of Whitney Bank and Hancock Bank posted revenue of $501.8M in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $355.2M, missing Street forecasts.
