Renewable energy plant for MS

The Alden Group Renewable Energy company has announced plans to open a renewable energy facility in Smith County, Miss., with a $12.5M+ project set to create 30 jobs by the end of 2024.

The company works with nearby poultry processors to turn waste products into dry matter that is then sold to refineries to make biodiesel.

Alden Group officials say Smith County is a strategic location to put the company closer to its suppliers.

Alden Group officials said the plan to fill the job vacancies will be incrementally during the ramp-up of the facility, which is expected to be in full operation by the end of 2024.
