MOBILE, Ala. - Silver Ships recently promoted Jason Powers to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Powers held the role of Director of Business Development and has been a member of the company for more than 25 years.
As COO, Powers will direct daily production operations alongside an executive team and report directly to CEO Steven Clarke.
During his tenure at Silver Ships, Powers has been integral in developing most of the business processes that have aided the firm to become an industry leader.
He has led the team in building quality, durable and versatile boats. Powers played an big role with the sales team while developing relationships with marine vendors that outfit Silver Ships' workboats.
During his sales tenure, he worked with the marine sectors, including fire rescue, law enforcement and hydrographic surveying.
In 2022, he worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Venice, La., to build and deliver Silver Ships’ largest marine surveying vessel, the Tobin, an Endeavor series.
Also, that same year, Tobin was recognized as a Workboat Magazine Significant Build and Marine News top vessel of the year.
Powers will advance an environment of improvement, ensure proper business processes and develop strategies for bettering the organization of operational units. (Silver Ships 10/03/23)
