The Undersecretary of Defense Financial Management Awards for 2019 were presented Oct. 5 at a Pentagon ceremony. The awards recognize Defense Department personnel/teams that have made outstanding contributions to improving DOD financial management. Sound financial management is a top priority of the department, David L. Norquist, the deputy secretary of defense said. Two awards went to a Gulf Coast command at Hurlburt Field, Fla., HQ of the AF Special Operations Command.
