Personnel from NAS Meridian's (Miss.) Fire and Emergency Services receive civilian service medals and life-saving achievement certificates during a ceremony Sept. 25 at Fire Station One. The awards were in recognition of life saving efforts administered to two residents of base housing following a 911 call in early August. Personnel included Firefighter Tyler Gibson, Firefighter Austin Jones, Firefighter Michael Strong, Firefighter David Waldman, Firefighter Tommy Skaggs Jr., Station Chief Mark Nixon, and Firefighter Quinton Walker.
