Chip Kline, Louisiana's front man on coastal restoration and hurricane risk reduction, announced his resignation May 31 at the biennial State of the Coast conference in New Orleans. His last day on the job is July 3.
In an interview with NOLA.com, Kline warned the next would-be governor against abandoning progress made on coastal restoration, saying the state would face "dire consequences" if that were to occur. He will be replaced by Bren Haase, current executive director of the authority.
Kline said Greg Grandy will become acting executive director of the authority, moving up from his position as deputy director. (NOLA.com 05/31/23) Louisiana's coastal restoration chief steps down | Environment | nola.com
