Mississippi State University is partnering with the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology to put on the Aerospace and Defense Symposium June 27 at the Mill on campus.
MSET President/CEO Davis Pace said the organization invited more than 100 companies connected to government contracting and aerospace throughout the state to attend a 3-day series of networking events and panels discussing business strategies and advancements in the aerospace field.
More than 50 companies will be represented, including Camgian Microsystems, a technology research and product development company in Starkville, which is co-sponsoring the event.
The symposium also marks the launch of MSET's Aerospace and Defence Cluster, a statewide network of companies looking to familiarize themselves with other businesses, government contracts, and what contractors look at before bidding on projects.
The event will also host a panel on how companies work with public universities. Attendees will even receive a tour of the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems, the Advanced Composites Institute and Raspet Flight Center.
