Raytheon rebrands w/ 3-letter name

Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has adopted the name RTX as part of a rebranding effort, the company announced June 19 in a LinkedIn post.

RTX will begin operating with three businesses – Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon – once the portfolio realignment takes effect July 1.

In January, the Arlington, Va.-based aerospace and defense contractor announced plans to realign its four current businesses into three focused segments to drive the company’s market growth, technology synergies and financial targets.
