LINK's push for mega-site in Paccar

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – The Golden Triangle Development LINK economic development agency is bringing another Tennessee Valley Authority-Certified Mega-site to Lowndes County.

The currently bare 1,500-acre site is located north of Paccar, Miss.

The area is the only one to have multiple mega-sites, according to LINK CEO Joe Max Higgins. Plans are already underway, and LINK is slated to present the project for approval to the Lowndes County Board of Supervisors next week

The goal is to start in July with intentions of completing acquisition and infrastructure by July 2024

“There are only nine of (mega-sites in the TVA area) and nobody else has ever done more than one except us,” Higgins told WCBI.

Lowndes County Port Manager Jason Colburn said the accessibility companies have to move goods plays a key role in industries choosing the Golden Triangle. (WCBI 06/14/23) Golden Triangle LINK to bring another megasite to Lowndes County (wcbi.com)
