The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) has been honored with an inaugural Economic Development Organization Award by Business Facilities, a full-service media brand specializing in the site selection marketplace.
The recognition honors exceptional efforts of economic developers to foster community growth through innovative programs and incentives.
MDA has been "instrumental in fostering an environment ripe for economic growth and investment," said. Gov. Tate Reeves.
MDA was honored for its new Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive program. MFLEX is a streamlined incentive offering on universal tax credits that can be used to offset Mississippi state tax liabilities.
