MADISON, Miss. – The Vertex Company was awarded a contract valued up to $130M to maintain helicopters for the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). The helicopters maintained by this contract provide support and security for AFGSC’s missions and weapons including intercontinental ballistic missiles and bomber aircraft. Under the contract, Vertex will maintain two helicopter types assigned to the 582nd Helicopter Group: A UH-1N “Twin Huey” and MH-139 “Grey Wolf”. The maintenance work includes the helicopters, engines, aircrew flight equipment and ground equipment. Work is expected to take place at F.E.
