CG medevacs injured crewman

NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medevaced an injured crewmember from a dive boat in the evening of April 29 about 17 miles south of Pecan Island, La. CG Sector New Orleans were notified at 8:15p.m. that a male crewman in his 30s, aboard the dive support vessel Ms. Kerci, reportedly sustained severe injuries to a leg. The CG launched a CG Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew. The aircrew arrived and hoisted the man aboard and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel at the Lafayette Regional Airport. The crewman was last reported to be in stable condition.
