WASHINGTON - Adm. Karl L. Schultz is scheduled to be relieved as Commandant of the Coast Guard by Adm. Linda L. Fagan in a 10 a.m. (CT) change-of-command ceremony here at Coast Guard headquarters on June 1. In April, it was announced that Fagan would be nominated to succeed Schultz, which would make her the first woman in American history to lead a military service. Fagan is currently serving as the 32nd Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard. (Source: Coast Guard 05/27/22)
