Turner elected to DSWG exec board

Phoenix International Holdings Inc. announced that its area manager for the Bayou Vista, La., offices, Troy Turner, has been elected to the executive board of the Gulf of Mexico Diving Safety Workgroup. DSWG is a GoM-focused, non-competitive and non-commercial group of oil and gas operators, transmission companies, commercial diving companies, supporting subcontractors, organizations, and industry stake holders that provide a unified voice to promote and improve diving safety. Throughout Turner’s 30+ years in the O&G industry, he has garnered a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the commercial diving industry. As a professional commercial diver for over half his career, Turner possesses a commitment to safe diving practices and procedures and has long been an industry advocate for diver safety. (Source: Work Boat 01/04/22) Phoenix’s Bayou Vista office houses underwater operations supporting offshore oil & gas; inland/infrastructure; underwater ship repair and maintenance; and hydropower/windfarm clients. The location also serves as a training facility for welder/diver certifications and procedure development and houses the purchasing department in support of worldwide operations. Its 5.5-acre facility features 27,845 square feet of office/warehouse space, 2 testing/training tanks, and 770 feet of waterfront along the Bayou Teche with easy access to the Gulf of Mexico. There’s also a Mississippi office, which serves as a path to providing a broad range of services to the Navy, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. regional ocean science companies, and regional maritime organizations. These services include Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) operations, Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations, and subsea engineering.
