NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard mmdically evacuated (medevaced) two overdue mariners early morning of June 6 near Iberia Parish, La. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received tan initial report Friday at about 5:40 p.m. that an overdue 15-foot skiff with two people aboard had become disoriented and was lost in the area. The CG issued an urgent marine information broadcast and directed an aircrew from CG Air Station New Orleans to assist. The CG MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew located the mariners around 1 a.m Saturday morning. The aircrew hoisted the mariners aboard and transported them to Acadiana Regional Airport.
