WASHINGTON - Acting Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations and Environment (EI&E) Todd Schafer traveled to several bases in NW Florida and the shipbuilding facility in Mobile, Ala., June 2-5. Schafer traveled to Naval Support Activity (NSA) Panama City on June 3, where he recognized six xailors and civilians for their safety achievements in reporting risks and preventing mishaps. He also toured a Public-Private contractor housing unit, Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center, Naval Surface Warfare Center , and at the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal. Schafer visited NAS Pensacola on June 4, and traveled to the Austal USA shipyard in Mobile, where he gave remarks at the christening of the future Littoral Combat Ship USS Canberra (LCS 30).
