A movie, based on a story written by award-winning Oxford, Miss., author Michael Farris Smith, and filmed in Natchez in Summer 2021, hit the big screens Nov. 4 and will be available to stream Nov. 10.
It was Smith’s fourth novel, “The Fighter,” that gives the inspiration for the film adaptation called “Rumble Through the Dark.”
A free screening event will be Nov. 10 at the Oxford Powerhouse beginning with a meet and greet with the author at 6:30 p.m. followed by a book signing and screening at 7:30 p.m. (Magnolia State Live 11/05/23)
