Representatives from the Coast Guard, MPOG, Louisiana Oil Spill Coordinator's Office, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will be in attendance.
The Unified Command continues to respond to the oil discharge near the MPOG 11015 pipeline, 25 miles offshore of Plaquemines Parish, SE of New Orleans.
Capt. Kelly Denning, commanding officer for the Coast Guard’s New Orleans sector, said there are multiple pipeline operators in the area of the leak. She said that while MPOG was suspected to be responsible, that had not yet been definitively determined.
