The first supermoon of 2023 illuminated the sky across the globe July 3-4, inspiring photographers and skywatchers to turn their eyes skyward.
July's full moon, the Buck Moon, rose at 6:10 p.m. CDT on July 3 and set at 3:33 a.m. CDT on July 4, just as America was waking to July 4 celebrations.
Named after the buck deer, which grow their antlers in July, this year's Buck Moon attracted astro-photographers of all levels who caught the stunning celestial sight against a range of iconic backdrops including New York's Statue of Liberty. c8soU9RpMVUW5XAnD4Tbge.jpg (1437×1920) (futurecdn.net)
