The reopening of the Audubon Aquarium in New Orleans, after a $40M reimagining and renovation, and the relocation of Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium to the aquarium campus on the river, will take place June 8.
This project - the biggest renovation since it opened in 1990 - will include nearly 17,000 square feet of new exhibit space within the existing walls; and 2,500 square feet of the existing aquarium breezeway that 'll be enclosed to create a shared public lobby.
The combo experience re-envisions Audubon’s downtown guest experience and educational programming. (Biz New Orleans 06/02/23)
