MS short-line RR rolling 100 years

Mississippi Export Railroad has been transporting goods for a century. Since 1922, Mississippi Export Railroad has expanded to a 42-mile short line railroad that extends from Pascagoula to Evanston. MSE has played a vital role in the development and sustainability of businesses across the Gulf Coast region. The firm has been in the Luce family for five generations. George County board members, MSE staff and local railroad lovers attended the recent anniversary celebration. MSE is one of 500 short line railroads in the U.S. It is HQ'd in Moss Point. The short line extends from Evanston to Pascagoula with MSE interchanges with Canadian National (CN) in Evanston; CSX Transportation (CSXT) in Pascagoula; Norfolk Southern in Mobile, Ala.; and Hattiesburg and Kansas City Southern (KCS) in Jackson.
