SOUTH MISSISSIPPI - Tracking the tropics. Invest 98L is not a threat to the Gulf Coast for at least five days. Beyond that, it’s too early to tell how much of a threat it will become and what regions may be impacted. Invest 98L is in the southeastern Caribbean Sea with a high chance of becoming a tropical storm. Forecast models show the system moving into the Gulf by mid-week. It’s still too early to know the track or strength it could become. Mississippi coast's next weather pattern calls for dry-and-high pressure to protect the coast from tropical impacts.
