MOBILE, Ala. - Following the recent water crisis in Jackson, Miss., Mobile businessman Lorenzo Martin has been collecting bottled water for those in the neighboring state. An 18-wheeler full of cases - 50-to-60 per pallet - left Mobile on Sept. 6 and is to arrive at a Jackson church for local distribution. Tuesday and it started with local business owner Lorenzo Martin. When he saw the water crisis news, he knew he had to do something, he told WALA. The response was overwhelming for Martin. He told FOX10 that people of all ages helped, including high school students who donated cases. Anytime young people begin to grow and volunteer it helps everything, according to Martin.
