Viking Mississippi heads for NOLA

Champagne in the Explorer Room, which offers a 180-degree glass view on the Mississippi River. A live band and an infinity plunge pool on the top deck of the Viking Mississippi cruise ship. Viking Mississippi is the first luxury cruise ship to visit downtown St. Paul, Minn., in roughly a decade. The 386-passenger boat began its inaugural voyage to St. Louis on Sept. 3 and was back in  St. Paul on Sept. 17. The ship was scheduled depart from there on a 15-day trip down the Mississippi River to New Orleans, the first of what promises to be a regular series of trips.
