CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - NASA’s new Space Launch System moon rocket sprang a second dangerous fuel leak on Saturday forcing launch controllers to call off a second attempt this week to send the capsule into lunar orbit with test dummies. The inaugural flight is off in definitely. On Aug. 26, the rocket was troubled by hydrogen leaks on top of leaks detected during drills earlier this year. After this setback, mission managers decided to haul the rocket off the pad and into the hangar for further repairs and updates. Some of the work and testing may be performed at the pad. The new timeline for launch won’t happen until late September or October. (Source: The AP 09/04/22)
