September unemployment rates throughout the Golden Triangle improved by between 0.7% and 1.7% from August.
Oktibbeha and Noxubee County saw the largest drop, falling 1% and 1.7%, respectively. Lowndes County fell 0.9% from August, (4.1%), and Clay County saw the smallest improvement, going from 4% to 3.3%, according to data released by the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
Year over year, Noxubee County showed the most improvement, falling to 4.6%, a 1.8% drop from September 2022.
