JACKSON, Miss. - The U.S. Justice Department plans to monitor compliance with federal voting rights laws in several jurisdictions for Nov. 7's general elections.
The department's Civil Rights Division will monitor voting in Madison and Panola counties in Mississippi. There will also be monitors in areas of New Jersey, Rhode Island and Virginia. (The AP 11/06/23) Feds to monitor Mississippi polls on Election Day (wapt.com)
