NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medically evacuated a crewmember from the fishing vessel Sea Charger on July 12 near Venice, La.
The Coast Guard received a call at 5:13 p.m. from the fishing vessel requesting a medevac for a crewmember aboard who was experiencing stroke-like symptoms.
The CG launched a Venice-base Response Boat and crew to respond. Coast Guard Cutter Tigershark boat/crew also was diverted to assist.
The Venice boat crew embarked the man and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel at Coast Guard Station Venice.
