NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medevaced a 37-year-old man from the Disney Magic cruise ship in the evening of March 9 near Venice, La. The CG received a call at 9:30 p.m. from the crew of the cruise ship requesting a medevac for a passenger reportedly experiencing severe abdominal pain. The CG launched a Venice-base Response Boat -Medium boat crew. The boat crew embarked the man and transferred him to awaiting emergency medical services personnel back at Station Venice. The man was last reported to be in stable condition and was taken to Ochsner Westbank Medical Center. (CG 03/10/23)
