JACKSON, Miss. - Voters in House District 23 in North Mississippi will go to the polls Jan. 10 for a special legislative election to fill the current term of State Rep. Jim Beckett. Becket resigned last year to become director of the Mississippi Public Utilities. District 23 covers Calhoun, along with parts of Webster, Grenada and Lafayette counties. Polls will open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (WTVA 01/05/23)
