PASCAGOULA, Miss. – Rep. Mike Ezell (R-Pascagoula), south Mississippi's newest congressman has received committee assignments - House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Homeland Security - over the next two years. Transportation has jurisdiction over all modes of transportation in the U.S., including the Port of Pascagoula, Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport and advises federal programs administered by FEMA, NOAA, Army Corps of Engineers and the Coast Guard. Homeland Security handles issues of national security and plans to hear from Homeland Security Director Alejandro Mayorkas, who has already had articles of impeachment filed against him in the 118th Congress.
