The Mississippi State Department of Health confirmed this week there are 9,662 new COVID-19 cases. The 2-week update brings the total number of cases to 970,585. With 39 additional deaths, 13,151 Mississippians have died as a result of the virus. Currently, there are currently 153 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities. Mississippi is averaging 690 a day, which is a 16% decrease from two weeks ago.
