Tillotson new exec @ La. port

Charles Tillotson joins the Port of Plaquemines (La.) as Executive Director, effective Dec. 1. Tillotson has experience in port business development and operations, including handling vessels carrying liquid bulk, dry bulk, containers, break-bulk, military explosives and hazardous materials, and RoRo in over 45 terminals in the U.S. and Asia. Tillotson comes to Louisiana from duty as chief commercial officer for SeaPort Manatee and senior VP for Carver Maritime Manatee, Fla. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in business management from St. Mary’s College (Calif.). In addition, he is a graduate of the Army Management Staff College and earned global logistics specialist certification from the California Maritime Academy. A Navy veteran, Tillotson served 10 years of active and reserve duty before discharged in 1992. His civil service experience included positions as a marine cargo specialist for the U.S. Naval Weapons Station Concord, Calif. (Port of Plaquemines 11/16/22)
