COLUMBUS, Miss. – An Air Force pilot conducted a successful "gears-up" landing of a T-38C jet at Columbus Air Force Base, around 10:45 a.m. Nov. 18, following an in-flight emergency. The jet is of the same type that crash-landed in Lowndes County 10 days ago. A gears-up landing is also a belly landing sometimes meaning the landing gear was not fully extended.
