STARKVILLE, Miss. - U.S. Rep. Michael Guest (R-Miss.) toured the newly co-created Partnership Middle School, to give a hands-on learning experience to both middle schoolers and MSU students, on the campus of Mississippi State University. The Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District and MSU teamed to create the Partnership School that is to give a hands-on learning experience to both middle schoolers and MSU students. With the pandemic pressuring schools to maintain social distancing, the Rankin County native said the new facility couldn't have come at a better time. “It is great to see our school districts really working to get children back into a more traditional model of learning,” he said. With interaction between MSU and the school system, "we have such an opportunity to expand this to future grades, to future schools," the congressman said. Guest, who represents the 3rd District in Mississippi, is a proponent of in-class instruction. (Source: WTVA 09/09/20)
