Navy Cmdr. Robert Arias, officer in charge (OIC) of Naval Technical Training Center at Lackland, Texas, was removed from command Sept. 11 by Capt. John Ferguson, head of the Center for Security Forces. Ferguson had lost confidence in Arias' ability to lead, the Navy said. The decision was made following an investigation completed by the CSF, said Cmdr. James Stockman, a Naval Education and Training Command spokesman at its HQ aboard NAS Pensacola, Fla. Stockman declined to provide details since the matter is still "pending final decision." Arias, who declined a request for comment buy Military.com, will be temporarily assigned to NETC HQ. Cmdr. Brian Carroll, director of Center for Security Forces Learning Site at Gulfport, Miss., has assumed Arias' former duties at Lackland.
